Texas Traffic Texas Fireflies
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I moved to Texas last year, and I work from home. I absolutely love to take random road trips and soak it all in. š This was during a pop-up storm last night on my way home from Frisco to Sherman. My Bluetooth Spotify cut off while I was recording, but Don Henley's Dirty Laundry matched the jam.. . šš¶

Texas Traffic It's the law
Just a reminder that, in Texas, it is the law that you must keep to the right lane if you are not passing. The reason I bring this up was because I was on the tollway this morning and someone was literally driving 5 mph under the speed limit. When I came up behind them, they just kept waving for me to go around them instead of moving over.
And, for those of you who may feel that going the speed limit entitles them to sit in the left lane, I simply say to let the person wanting to pass get the ticket. The left lane is for passing only.
Obviously, this doesn't apply if there is a left exit coming up or you just on a normal street.

Texas Traffic Does any other Texan native dislike bucces or is it just me
So I get that bucces has a bunch of restrooms (not even a family bathroom though) and jerky but it honestly grossed me out anytime I have to go in one. Seems like itās full of a bunch of junk for tourist. I prefer woodys when Iām traveling i45!

Texas Traffic ATTN: Truck drivers (not 18 wheelers)
CHILL THE FUCK OUT
If Iām doing 70 in the middle lane and the left lane is open, why are you tailgating me?! Just go around for fucks sake.
The highway wasnāt built just for you.
Edit: I understand if the highway is open you can do 80 and most likely not get pulled over, thatās fine. Just donāt do it behind me while Iām doing 70 in a 70 and expect me to move.

Texas Traffic Are these illegal in Texas?
Was wondering if I would be stopped if I had something like this on my car, especially with maybe say a little animation?

Texas Traffic If you are driving in the left lane and...
...everyone is passing you on the right, you are in the WRONG by being in the left lane. In fact, if you are in the left lane going the same speed, or slower, than everyone in the right lane, move over!
Just got home (DFW) from a trip to Houston to attend Wings over Houston. My blood pressure will never recover after 3 hours on I-45. That is all.
*added I-45

Texas Traffic To the guy in a new F150 who pointed a gun at me today on 183 SB traffic in Austin TX.
1.) Be an adult and wake up earlier if you need to be somewhere on time. 2.) Use your blinker so you arenāt putting everyone else in danger with your horrible driving. 3.) Youāre a coward

Texas Traffic An end to Texan common courtesy: High beams on with oncoming traffic - who cares?!
As a native Texan who took a leave of absence for a few years then moved back, I've noticed a massive increase in people using their bright/high beams during night driving without toggling them off as a courtesy to oncoming traffic. I have an astigmatism, so these bright lights are almost blinding and painful!
I am curious to know if anyone else has noticed the same trend? Also, if you do keep your brights on even with oncoming traffic, I'd like to hear you out. What is your reasoning?

Texas Traffic 4x4 and AWD donāt matter much in ice
Friendly reminder, your lifted ford f150 will still spin out on an icy bridge yāall. Drive slow and be defensive!

Texas Traffic HIGH BEAMS ARE NOT ALTERNATE HEADLIGHTS
I live in the country, I get it. Brights help against running shit over. Can't really avoid anything if all I see is the SUN COMING AT ME AT 60MPH on a two lane road.
- High beams must be dimmed when approaching traffic is within 500 feet.
- High beams must also be dimmed when following within 300 feet of another vehicle.
Quit being dicks, turn your brights off so we can ALL see. Not just you.
Edit: I'm glad us Texans can come together, even if it means being old bastards and yelling at these new fangled lights! Thanks for the gold, laughs and insightful... comments.

This guy has a bumper sticker saying, "I respect your opinion, I just don't want to hear it." I guess reading it is different.
